Oswald is a modern update of the classic “Alternate Gothic” style, redesigned for better readability on digital screens. As a sans-serif typeface, Oswald was developed specifically for the web, ensuring accessibility across various devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.
Originally released in 2011 by Vernon Adams, Oswald underwent continuous improvements until 2014. During this period, Adams made several refinements based on user feedback.In 2016, Vernon Adams entrusted the final stages of Oswald’s development to Kalapi Gajjar and Alexei Vanyashin. Their contributions focused on refining the typeface further and expanding its support to the Cyrillic script.
