Geist Sans is the brand typography of Vercel – a technology company that develops products for developers and designers. It was initially created strictly as the mono version with the help of creative individuals from Vercel and Basement Studio, the author of Basement Grotesque. After finalizing this version, they proceeded to develop the sans-serif version. Geist Sans shares similarities with fonts like Inter and Univers and is designed with principles from the Swiss design movement, emphasizing cleanliness of form, clarity, and precision.
Adding to this is the availability of Geist Sans in a variable font format, with a total of nine fixed weights ranging from Ultra Light to Ultra Black. It is an open-source font created to look outstanding in clean and contemporary User Interface Design. I can clearly see this font securing its place in the hall of fame of open-source fonts alongside Inter, Poppins, and Satoshi.
It is for personal use only.
