Squire Almond has the heavy, flared capitals of an old inn sign. Serifs are sharp wedges, strokes swell into them, and letters such as the Q and R carry long, pointed tails. On a takeaway bag in the specimen it reads as friendly and solid. Over a mountain photo, MOUNT ALPINE looks like the label on an expedition map.
Viswell Studio sells it with alternates, ligatures and multilingual support in OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2. The free version on this page is a single OTF file, so the alternates may not all be there.
