Melrank is a modern serif with a romantic streak. Designer Alfin Ridhowi of Alfinart started from a classic serif structure and softened it with rounded curves and graceful details, then added bold ligatures that link letter pairs into single, decorative shapes. The result reads clearly but feels hand-finished, a bit like the lettering on a florist’s shopfront or a boutique perfume box.
Melrank is a single-style family. It includes standard Latin glyphs with international accents, and its ligatures and extra characters are PUA-encoded. That means you can reach them from a glyph or character map, even in apps that don’t support OpenType features.
