Neutical is a modern serif with sharp, bracketed serifs and a calm, upright stance. Nofi Sofyan Hadi of Heinzel Std drew it with moderate contrast, so it holds up in a heading and still reads well at smaller sizes. The title card sets the name in white over a dark photo of a parrot, with a gold badge reading 300+ glyphs.
A weight slide shows “The Quick Brown Fox” in Light, Regular, Semibold, Bold, Extra Bold and Black, each with an italic, which makes twelve styles. The character sheet adds alternates and ligatures such as a curly k, joined OO and Th pairs, and a full set of punctuation and currency signs. The free download has twelve OTF files.
