Lawrence is a Roman typeface with sharp, small serifs and a few theatrical touches. On the cover the L and A in the name lock together, and the R kicks out a long leg. Emil Bertell of Finnish foundry Fenotype drew it with OpenType features doing a lot of the work.
There are two weights, swash alternates, titling alternates and interlocking ligatures, which the original listing puts at 192 alternates in all. The ligatures sit in discretionary ligatures, so you can switch them on for a logo and leave them off for text. A preview sets a Madonna quote in the regular weight, and it reads well at text size. This download includes two OTF files.
