Monoblock is a monospaced sans with a squared-off, practical look. Every character takes the same width, and the curves are flattened slightly, which gives it the feel of printed tickets and machine labels. The cover lists the weights in neat boxes, Thin through Black, and the full stop after “Monoblock” is picked out in lime green.
The packaging mock-up is a good guide to its use: a shipping label with a tracking number, a “Fragile!” sticker and a store receipt with prices lined up in columns. The character sheet shows a big Latin set with accents, fractions, arrows and maths symbols, and a variable font is included for fine weight control.
