Metal Lord is a sharp, angular display font with spiky ends, triangle shaped counters and long pointed tails on letters such as the L and R. Ray Larabie released it on 17 July 1996, drawing it directly from the Iron Maiden logo. The cover sets it in white on black and red slashes.
A long quote, it is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles, fills the second image in white capitals and shows that it can handle several lines. Larabie later expanded it to a full set, including a script s alternate taken from a 1988 Iron Maiden calendar.
