Crog is wide, round and very heavy at its boldest. Pandeka Studio sets it on the cover as “Crog Heavy Sans” in blue capitals on lilac, and at that weight the letters almost touch. What makes the family interesting is the other end: the Thin is a single hairline, so the same shapes can look delicate or blunt.
The full family has nine weights, Thin, Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Semi Bold, Bold, Extra Bold and Black. The second preview mixes them line by line (“Modern Oldie, Heavy Light, Pro Lite, Thin Thick”) to show how well they combine. The download on this page is a single OTF file, so check which weight you have before you plan a layout around it.
