Makebond

Khurasan made Makebond with a dry brush, and you can see the bristles in almost every stroke. The letters slant right, the capitals are tall and narrow, and the lowercase has little loops on the k and b that keep it from looking too stiff. A ragged underline swash sits under the name on the title card.

The specimen leans into fitness. One slide puts “Royal Gym Sport” on a mustard panel next to a photo of dumbbells. The character slide shows capitals, lowercase, figures, punctuation and multilingual letters, plus four swashes you can drop under a word. The strokes keep their texture even at smaller sizes, as long as the background is plain. The download has an OTF and a TTF.

Font pairings

Makebond pairs well with a firm, wide sans. Oswald or Archivo in caps give it a sporty frame.
