Luxury Magazine Serif – Aglatia Font

Aglatia is a luxury magazine serif from Pandeka Studio. Unlike thin, fragile fashion fonts, it is fairly heavy and warm, with rounded wedge serifs, generous curves and a slightly retro, 1970s editorial flavour. The lowercase has a big, friendly shape, so lines such as “Draped in confidence, crafted in dreams” read easily even at moderate sizes.

It is a single Regular style in TTF, OTF and WOFF, with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, punctuation and multilingual support. That makes it a good choice when you want a serif with presence for headlines and short paragraphs.

Best uses for Aglatia

  • Magazine covers and editorial headlines
  • Fashion and beauty campaign layouts
  • Book covers and blog titles
  • Brand names for boutiques and studios
  • Invitations and packaging

Font pairings

Aglatia has plenty of weight, so a light sans balances it. Inter is a reliable choice for body copy. For a more fashion-led feel, try Jost in small capitals. If you want serif text, EB Garamond sits well underneath Aglatia headlines.

Luxury Magazine Serif – Aglatia Font FAQ

Is Aglatia font free for commercial use?

No. The free download is for personal projects only. Magazines, brands and client work need a licence from Pandeka Studio, and web use needs a webfont licence.

What free font is similar to Aglatia?

For a free, open-licence serif with a similar soft, retro weight, try Young Serif or Fraunces. Both work well for editorial headlines.

Can I use Aglatia for body text?

It is drawn for display sizes, but the sturdy strokes hold up for short intros and pull quotes. For long articles, switch to a text serif or sans.
